CLC block made of this foaming agent have excellent strength and thermal insulation properties 5 – 20% more than normal concrete. It is very safe to use for making light weighted concrete blocks or bricks. It doesn’t cause any effects on human and it is compatible with all kind of water.

The clc foaming agent is composed of 20-25% by weight of powdered polyvinyl chloride, about 40-45% by weight of a water-soluble alkylnaphtliylene sulphonate in which the alkyl groups have 4-10 carbon atoms, and about 13-17% by weight of a member of the class consisting of lower alkyl esters of polyacrylic acid in aqueous emulsion and water-soluble alginates, balance essentially water.

This is a foaming agent that has been designed to be used in a small but effective amount, based on the weight of the cement, of not less than about 0.3% by weight. At percentages somewhat higher than this figure, there is no corresponding increase in desirable properties imparted by an increase in the quantity of foaming agent such as would justify the increased cost of greater quantities of foaming agent.

It is a macromolecular substance that functions as a sulfate and/or sulphonate in the admixture of Portland cement to produce a stable foam. It has a variety of beneficial properties which improve the stability, strength and resistance to collapse of the resulting foam upon the addition of mineral filler or other additives.
