(The concrete villa is designed to be high-end and stylish. The details and soft furnishings are really fantastic.)

The design of the concrete villa is not just a simple architectural concept but also an exploration of space. The concrete house shared today combines heavy concrete architecture with an artistically refined interior.

The villa's interior was designed by Kelly Wearstler, an American designer known as the "Queen of Design," creating a practical and artistic space for the residents.

01Architectural design

This house is located in Los Angeles, USA. It is the private residence of a sculptor and art lover. Designed by Masastudio, the building uses concrete as the main building material, exuding solidity and durability.

Black sculptural accents complement the concrete walls, adding a modern art touch to the home.

In the middle of the house, there is an oval courtyard, "Oculus," the shape of which was inspired by the sculpture of the head of the artist Constantin Brancusi. This design adds a unique charm to the entire residence. An ancient olive tree grows in the courtyard, adding a lively and natural element to this outdoor space.

The living room, dining room, bedrooms, and other main areas are arranged around the central courtyard. This layout creates continuity and flow between indoors and out, and also ties together the various areas of the living space.

02Interior design

The residence's interior was designed by Kelly Wearstler, one of the most famous interior designers in the United States. Her career and interests are not limited to design but also involve art, film and television, fashion, and other fields. Kelly Wearstler's luxurious and exquisite designs are known for her fascinating concept of quality life, which has won her double praise from many industry insiders and upper-class owners.

The interior includes a living room, dining room, main bedroom suite, children's bedroom, garage, etc. In addition, the house also has a library and bar, and each area is cleverly arranged and carefully planned to provide functionality and comfort.

The entryway is designed like an art display area to showcase the client's valuable art collection, adding depth and a contemporary atmosphere to the entire house.

A sculpture by Anish Kapoor hangs from the concrete wall in front of a chair by Jonas Bohlin (1980).

# living room #

The living room is particularly prominent, with earthy tones and echoes of the concrete exterior of the house. The sunken seating area provides a comfortable and intimate place to rest. The terrazzo floor and the gray sofa are harmonious tones, and the brass coffee table in the middle adds some unique luxury to this area.

Behind the living room sits a custom black oak table and chairs created by designer Patrick Naggar, topped by a custom chandelier made by Entler. Also on the other side is a custom pewter oval coffee table and black armchairs.

# Salon Area #

The house also features a spacious salon area, providing a comfortable gathering place for the residents.

This salon area has various comfortable seats, including sofas and chairs in soft earth tones, pink single sofa seats, special-shaped coffee tables, etc., providing diverse seating options.

Large-scale art paintings are also hung on the walls, giving the entire salon area a sense of modern luxury.

#breakfastroom#

The breakfast room opposite the salon is a warm and functional space that provides a pleasant dining environment where the family can enjoy breakfast while admiring the beautiful surrounding views.

The design of the dining table and chairs has smooth lines, giving it a modern and sophisticated look.

A stone coffee table is placed in the sofa area, adding natural elements to the interior, echoing the outdoor landscape, and creating a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere.

Large-area glass sliding doors allow natural light to shine fully into the interior, making it bright and warm.

# kitchen #

The gray tones of the separate kitchen complement the concrete material. The overall U-shaped layout has a square island in the middle, providing work surface and storage space to ensure efficient cooking and food preparation.

# stairs #

The residential staircase is located in the center of the house and connects the different floors, providing a unique and sophisticated vertical circulation. The designers adopted a modern, minimalist style to ensure the staircase blends into the interior.

The main structure of the staircase is made of solid concrete. The texture and color of the concrete add an industrial aesthetic to the staircase while emphasizing its sturdiness and durability. The stair handrails are modern metal, providing visual appeal and safety.

Art decorations under the stairs

The upper level features a seating area with carefully selected furniture and decorations that enhance the space.

#Study#

The study is located in the corner of the house and has been carefully planned and decorated to create an ideal space for reading, working, and thinking.

#bedroom#

The primary bedroom is on the home's basement level, providing a private and peaceful retreat. Although it is located low, the living experience is enhanced by moving glass doors and outdoor courtyards that inject bright sunlight into the rooms.

# bathroom #

The bathroom attached to the primary bedroom has a square window next to the independent bathtub, providing ample natural lighting and a beautiful courtyard view.

Another bathroom features Arabescato Corchia marble, creating a luxurious and timeless atmosphere. The bathroom also features a sculptural bathtub, adding a sense of artistry and sophistication.

# patio #

Spacious courtyard with outdoor pool house and outdoor seating area.

The swimming pool is set in the courtyard and surrounded by beautifully designed landscaping, creating a resort-like atmosphere.

The outdoor pool also features a custom seating area with comfortable lounge chairs, outdoor furniture, and shade to relax poolside, soak up the sun, or enjoy time with friends and family.

This Los Angeles home embodies a unique modern Mediterranean style with its concrete architecture, superb interior design, and enchanting outdoor spaces. The harmony between indoors and outdoors and carefully selecting materials, decorative elements, and furniture give this residence an artistic feel.

Advantages of concrete superplasticizer in concrete construction

Concrete water-reducing admixture is a chemical additive that is often added to concrete to reduce the heat of hydration of the concrete and to improve the ductility and fluidity of the concrete.

Water-reducing agents can save cement usage and reduce production costs while maintaining the strength of concrete.

Under the condition of keeping the water consumption and water-cement ratio unchanged, the water-reducing agent can increase the fluidity of concrete, making the concrete easier to process and construct.

Water-reducing admixtures can reduce the water-cement ratio of concrete, thereby increasing the strength of concrete.

Water reducing agents can improve a series of physical and chemical properties of concrete, such as impermeability, frost resistance, erosion resistance, etc., and improve the durability of concrete.
